One of the aspects of fundamental importance in the relationship which links the State with public notaries and which mirrors the interest of the community consists of the preparation and access of aspiring notaries for the profession of notary: the competition is run directly by the Ministry of Justice and not by the notaries themselves.
Moreover this represents an extremely difficult and selective test, passed on an average by only one out of twenty aspiring civil law notaries.
