Location of archived copies of notarial documents

Copies of notarial documents are normally issued by the notary himself, even if he has moved his practice within the same District.

When a notary retires, however, or moves to a different District, copies can only be issued by the Notarial Archive in the District where the notary was practising at the time the document was executed.

On the Ministry of Justice site the Archinota service will direct you to the relevant Archive or, as the case may be, will redirect you to our Find Notary service which can be used to search for the notary's studio.

This service is not available for notaries who became inactive before the end of 1979.
