On 30 May 2011 a convention was signed in the council chamber of the Regione Puglia in Bari between the Regional government, represented by President Onofrio Introna, and the Regional Notarial Committee in the person of its President Bruno Volpe.
The goal of this agreement with the Region’s public service is to create “a synergy to assist citizens” and to develop cooperation in carrying out the Regional government’s legislative and administrative functions in a way that protects the public.
The Notarial Committee of Puglia, by way of the professionalism of its notaries, intends to contribute to the solution of problems relating to the formulation, application and interpretation, within the Region, of laws, explanatory circulars, sentences and judicial statements of notarial interest, thus facilitating the exact interpretation of the norms and the simplification of the procedures and technical and administrative tasks required for the application of the rules.
This convention confirms the notariat’s aim of engaging in helpful and transparent collaboration with local bodies and/or institutions regarding legal, town planning and taxation matters of notarial interest, with a view also to bringing the figure of the notary closer to the public and to spread awareness of his professionalism and availability, as well as optimising the quality of the services offered to the public and improving the effectiveness of the work done by local Offices and notaries.
