Collaboration began in September 2010 with the Municipality of Naples for the divestment of municipal property (public housing)
In September 2010 the Municipality of Naples, the Notarial Council of the United Districts of Naples, Torre Annunziata and Nola and “Romeo Gestioni S.p.A.” signed an agreement to work together on the divestment of public housing belonging to the municipality.
The Municipality of Naples, through “Romeo Gestioni S.p.A.”, undertook to participate actively with the notaries, offering every assistance and support as well as making available local drafting notaries for the contracts to be stipulated.
Thanks to this agreement, 2,700 properties were sold in Naples in the second half of 2012, 90% of which were public housing, for a total of over Euro 108 million.
The “Divestment Plan” allowed about 10,000 low-income persons to change their status from tenants to owners, thus bringing about a huge social evolution that will have a large positive impact in areas of the city that are often degraded.
