The Notarial Council of the United Districts of Vicenza and Bassano del Grappa, beginning in October 2011, has begun a collaborative effort with the Adult/Mature Age University in the Vicenza district whereby notaries will give a series of lessons on notarial subjects of common interest such as inheritance law, donations, contracts and family law.
The Adult/Mature Age University in the Vicenza district is a service-providing institution that belongs to Federuni (Italian Federation of Third-Age Universities) and is made up of a network of 25 Universities spread throughout the Vicenza district. It runs regular courses within the formal framework of a planned cultural project.
The participation of the Vicenza Notariat in this project is intended not only to expand the cultural horizons of the participants but also to explain to members of the public the role and function of a notary and to impress on them the importance of the fiduciary relationship that is formed between the notary and his client, given that the latter engages the former to assist in making important life choices.
The first meeting, on the subject of inheritance, attended by over 100 persons, was held in Costabissara on 6 October by the Notary Maria Quagliariello; she was pleased to observe the high level of interest and satisfaction on the part of those present.
The next meetings will be in Camisano Vicentino on 19 and 26 October; in Valdagno on 15, 22 and 29 November and in Asiago on 7 December.
