Bergamo, 28 May 2012 – The free consulting service on notarial matters that has been available to Bergamo’s citizens since 2007 has now been extended to the inmates of the Casa Circondariale in Via Gleno.

From 16 to 19 May the second “Legal Forum” took place in Saint Petersburg. This is the largest international event on the subject of legality. (http://www.spblegalforum.com/)

On 1 March the “PROFESSIONAL DAY” was held: this was organised by CUP (Comitato unitario permanente degli Ordini e Collegi professionali, or Permanent Combined Committee of the Professional Orders), PAT (Professioni area tecnica or Technical Professions), ADEPP (Associazione delle Casse di previdenza dei professionisti, or Social Security Funds for the Professions) and other groups within the Orders, with video links to 140 locations throughout the country.

The development of modern technology poses questions about our ethical bases and criteria of legitimacy that seemed to have been resolved and presents our society with new uncertainties which urgently require answers: to what point is technology to be considered independent?

Milan/Sesto San Giovanni, 19 April 2012 – Zest (production and marketing of the freeairbaby system that cleans the air toddlers breathe in their strollers), Kook Sharing (a shared restaurant, without cooks, open 24 hours a day), Vis Virdis (production and sale of renewable energy) and Sorridere Insieme (a home-delivery service for food and consumer items on special): these are the four companies created thanks to the first edition of “Dall’Idea all’Impresa” (From Concept to Market), an initiative that again this year is supporting, with free services and floorspace, the setting up of five new innovative businesses by young entrepreneurs.

In Brescia on 16 May 2012, at the offices of the Notarial Association for Executive Procedures (ANPE), an agreement was signed marking the birth of “NotarNetwork”, the new network of the notarial associations.

On 17 May 2012 a round table was held in Naples, in the Arcoleo Hall of the Faculty of Law at the Federico II University. The subject was “Orientation for New Graduates – Lawyers and the Future: the Jobs Market, Expectations and Prospects”, organised by the university association “Gli Amici Di Giurisprudenza” (Friends of the Law) and sponsored by the Federico II University of Naples.

The eighteenth issue of “Notaries of Europe”, the two-monthly newsletter by CNUE (The Council of the Notariats of the European Union), has been published.

On 14 January 2012 an agreement was signed between the Notarial Council of Lecce, the San Nicola e Santi Medici Foundation of Bari and the National Anti-Usury Consultative Body of Bari, establishing a collaborative effort to provide concrete assistance to citizens and businesses that are the victims of usury.

The Notarial College and the police forces of Como and Lecco get together to facilitate the signing of official documents involving foreign citizens.

“How can I protect my private property from creditors? – Family trusts & management, sale and liquidation of companies” : this is the theme of a series of informative evenings organised by APA – Associazione Provinciale Artigianato (the Provincial Craftsmen’s Association), which brings together about 8,000 trades and handicrafts businesses in the Province of Bolzano, in collaboration with the Notarial Council of Bolzano.

From 16 February there will be free entry to the first public collection of the original wills of Great Personages who wrote the history of Italy: these come from the various District Notarial Archives, the State Archives or national museums.
